Counselling Registrations
Step 1: Visit the Websites:
- Go to either www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in or www.tnmedicalselection.org
Step 2: Pay the Application Fee:
- Pay Rs. 3,000/- (non-refundable) through the online payment portal.
Step 3: Complete the Application Form:
- Fill in all required information accurately and completely.
- Ensure you enter true and correct details.
- Multiple applications are not allowed.
Step 4: Upload Required Documents:
- Provide visibly clear, self-attested photocopies of the documents listed in the previous response (NEET PG score card, MBBS degree, certificates, etc.).
Step 5: Submit the Application:
- Carefully review all entered information and uploaded documents.
- Submit the completed application form before the deadline.
Counselling Process
Step 1: Registration:
- Pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹1000 online.
- Register for the counselling process on the official websites: www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in/ www.tnmedicalselection.org
Step 2: Round 1 Counselling:
- Select your preferred colleges and courses.
- Allotment of seats will be based on rank and reservation rules.
- Download your provisional allotment order if you get a seat.
- Join the allotted college within the specified time, submitting required documents (as mentioned in Clause 22).
Step 3: Second Round Counselling:
- Conducted for vacancies arising from unjoined/unallotted seats or newly sanctioned seats.
- Eligible to participate if you:
- Didn't register or choice-lock in Round 1
- Took a seat in Round 1 but didn't join/resigned within the stipulated time
- Not permitted to vacate the seat if you:
- Retained your Round 1 seat beyond the deadline
- Got a re-allotment in Round 2
- Got a new allotment in Round 2
Those joining seats in Round 2 or later cannot resign or participate in further counselling rounds.
Step 3: Mop-up Round and Stray Round:
- Conducted to fill any remaining vacancies.

MCC 50% AIQ Quota
About MCC
Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The MCC is responsible for conducting online counselling for admission of 50% of seats to various postgraduate medical and dental courses in India, including MBBS and BDS, through the NEET UG and NEET PG exams, respectively.
The MCC conducts centralized counselling for the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical and dental colleges across India, as well as for seats in Deemed and Central Universities, ESIC, and AFMC colleges. The counselling process involves registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, and admission to the allotted colleges.
MCC NEET Counselling Registration
MCC holds four rounds of NEET-UG counseling for AIQ, including a mop-up round and a stray vacancy round. Following the completion of Round 2, the MCC will fill the remaining seats in a mop-up round and a stray vacancy round. The following steps must be taken:
- Visit the official website: Visit the official website of MCC (https://mcc.nic.in/) and click on the "UG Medical Counseling" tab.
- New registration: Click on "New Registration" and fill in all the required details such as personal details, contact details, NEET exam details, and security pin. After filling in all the details, click on the "Submit" button.
- Login credentials: After successful registration, a new page will appear with your login credentials. Use these credentials to log in and fill in your choices of colleges and courses.
- Choice filling: Fill in your preferred colleges and courses in order of priority. You can choose as many choices as you want.
- Locking of choices: After you have filled in your choices, you need to lock them by clicking on the "Lock Choices" button. Once the choices are locked, you cannot make any changes.
- Seat allotment: The MCC conducts the seat allotment process based on your rank, category, and the choices filled by you. You will be able to see your seat allotment result on the official website.
- Reporting to the allotted college: If you are satisfied with the seat allotted to you, you need to report to the allotted college within the specified time with all the required documents and pay the admission fee.

Rounds For Counselling
Round 1:
- Register: Pay the non-refundable registration fee and refundable security deposit.
- Choose colleges: Fill in your preferred colleges in order of priority and lock your choices.
- Seat allotment: MCC processes your choices and allots seats based on merit and rank. Results are published on the MCC website.
- Reporting: If you get a seat, report to the allotted college and complete admission formalities. You can opt for an upgrade to Round 2 here.
Round 2:
- New Registrations: Only for those who didn't register in Round 1 or resigned/didn't report in Round 1.
- Fresh choices: Fill in new choices for available seats.
- Results and reporting: Same as Round 1.
Mop-Up Round:
- Fresh registrations: Only for those who exited Round 2 with fee forfeiture or those who registered but got no seat in Rounds 1 & 2. Not eligible for those who joined a seat in Round 2.
