- Step 1: Visit the official website of Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) at kea.kar.nic.in.
- Step 2: Click on the link ‘UG NEET Online Counselling’.
- Step 3: Click on ‘New Registration’.
- Step 4: Fill in the required details such as name, date of birth, gender, email ID, mobile number, etc. and create a login ID and password.
- Step 5: Upload the necessary documents such as NEET scorecard, 10th and 12th mark sheets, category certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, Aadhaar card, and passport size photographs.
- Step 6: Pay the counselling fee through the available online payment modes.
- Step 7: Submit the registration form.
- After successful registration, candidates can log in to the website and proceed with the further steps of the counselling process such as document verification, option entry, seat allotment, confirmation of seat allotment, and reporting to the college.
Choice Filling
Candidates are able to enter their choices only after the government has announced the seat matrix. The details of the available seats by college, course, and category are published on the KEA website at http://kea.kar.nic.in. which can be downloaded and printed.
- The candidate has to first select the discipline in the option entry form.
- After the selection of a Medical discipline, the entry form displays a list of Medical colleges and, in the case of a Dental discipline, a list of Dental colleges.
- There is no restriction on the number of options that can be entered. A candidate may enter as many options as he or she wishes to exercise based on his or her own priority. Candidates are advised to enter a greater number of options to avoid disappointment if they do not secure a seat.
- The allotment will not proceed to the next rank candidate until the list of your options has been thoroughly searched for the availability of a seat.
Seat Allotment
The seat matrix notified by the government for each discipline is used for allotment seats and it is hosted on the KEA website for the candidates’ and parents’ information.
Seats are allocated in two rounds, with each round consisting of three phases and each phase consisting of a number of iterations.
1. The first round.
2. Round Two.
(Note: If any seats remain vacant after the second round, a mop round for all categories of seats may be held, with only candidates who were not assigned a seat in the previous two rounds eligible to participate.)
List of allotted seats
The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) publishes a list of candidates who have been assigned a seat in the Karnataka NEET counselling. These seat allotment lists are generated based on a candidate’s merit and the choices filled out by him/her.
Reporting to the Allotted College
Candidates should report to the allotted college to complete the admission formalities. At the time of reporting to the allotted college, candidates must submit the original copy of the mandatory documents.
