NEET Counseling process for admission in Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences
Karnataka Examination Authority will issue a prospectus for state quota admission to MBBS courses. Its official website is www.kea.kar.nic.in. On this page, individual will find the link to NEET UG 2022 and the online application form. The application form registration fee for open quota is Rs.1000/-. Kea will issue a list of registered candidates after they have registered. Following that, kea will issue a schedule for document verification. The documents will need to be verified in Bangalore or another location for this. In 2020, these documents were verified online; following vehicle registration, the documents were uploaded, and a list of verified candidates was issued. Following the verification of one’s documents, they will be given an application number and password from which they can make their selection. Option entry is another term for choice fill.
Mock Allotment result
Mock Allotment results are published before the first and second round results, and they show that candidate are going to allot this seat, and if they want to change it at the given time, they can, but other candidates can as well. Those who were allotted seats in Mock Allotment will be notified, and the final result will be published.
KEA handles seat allocation for the first phase online. If student get a seat allotment in the first round, they must pay a one-year fee online (RTGS/NEFT). After that, they can choose to upgrade their seat in the second round, and if their seat is upgraded, they will not have to pay the fee again. If they are not able to deposit the fee and their seat is allotted in the first round, they are eligible for the second round, but the choice they made above the seat allotment will not attack them in the second round. They can make their selection.
In the first round, those candidates who are assigned a seat will be required to choose one of the following options:
Choice No. 01 – If they are satisfied with their allotted seat in the first round and do not wish to participate in the second round, they must select Choice No. 01, which must be filled. In this case, they must pay a one-year fee online (RTGS / NEFT). After selecting this option, they will be unable to participate in the subsequent rounds.
Choice No. 02 – If they want to upgrade the assigned seat in the first round, they must select Choice No. 02, which must be filled. They must pay a one-year fee online (RTGS/NEFT) before they can participate in the second round. If their seat is upgraded, they will not have to pay the fee again; it will be adjest. If the seat is not upgraded, the seat taken will remain unchanged.
Choice No. 03 – If they are dissatisfied with their assigned seat in the first round and want to participate in the second round, they must fill Choice No. 03 first. There are no fees to pay in this case. After selecting this option, they will be able to participate in the subsequent rounds, but the allotted seat from the first round will not attack them.
Choice No. 04 – If they are dissatisfied with their allotted seat in the first round and do not wish to participate in the second round, they must select Choice No. 04, which must be filled. Following this, they will be baffled by the subsequent counseling process.
Candidates who did not register for the first round in 2020 had the opportunity to register again in the second round, but this did not occur in 2021 or 2022. Registration was not reopened in the second round. All candidates must complete the choice again; if they do not complete the choice again, the choice completed in the first round will be valid. Seat allocation is also done online in the second round. If they are assigned a seat in the second round, they must pay a one-year fee online (RTGS/NEFT) and visit the kea office in Bangalore to submit the original documents. The allocation letter will be sent from the kea office in Bangalore, and the original submitted documents will be received. They must enrol by depositing this in the designated college.
Mop up round
Candidates who did not receive a seat allotment in the first or second round are eligible for this. Those who were assigned a seat in the first and second rounds are ineligible for this round. Those candidates who did not previously register may do so again. Those who have already registered do not need to do so again. The vehicle is present to the candidate during the mop up round, which is offline (physical). Following this, admission is granted on the basis of merit to the vacant seat.
Stray vacancy round
Even after the mop up round, some seats remain unfilled and are filled by the medical college in question. Kea has issued a 10-hour timetable. This list contains the names of candidates who have not yet been assigned a seat. Admission is granted on the basis of the merits of the same list.

Hospital of Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences
Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital is 16,160 square metres in size, with OPD blocks built into the basement and two-story separate buildings. This hospital has 319 teaching beds as well as clinical facilities in various departments.
Every day, over 800 outpatients visit, and 90% of the inpatient beds are occupied. These 319 beds are divided among the medical departments, with the paediatrics ward having 24 beds, General Medicine having 72 beds, and General Surgery having 90 beds.
Orthopedics has 30 beds, ophthalmology and ENT have 10 each, and obstetrics and gynaecology has 40 beds.
There are 5 operating rooms available, 4 major and 1 minor with major equipment, and ICU, NICU, PICU, and SICU each have 5 beds.
As part of the course, all students in batch are required to complete internships as house surgeons in hospitals. After completing the course, there is also a one-year rural service obligation in Karnataka. The specifics of the stipend are unknown.

MCC Counselling Process

FINAL STRAY VACANCY ROUND:
- Fresh Registrations: Candidates must register for the Final Stray Vacancy Round.
- Elimination: Candidates with allotted seats in other rounds will be eliminated from the Stray Vacancy Round.
- Stray Vacancy Round: The AIQ Stray Vacancy Round for vacant seats will be conducted online by MCC of DGHS, MoHFW.
- Seat Allotment: Seats will be allotted based on merit in the Stray Vacancy Round.
- Joining Allotted Seat: If allotted a seat in the Stray Round, the candidate must join the allocated seat/college. Failure to join will result in debarment from NEET examination for 01 year and forfeiture of fees.
(Note: Candidates can participate in Round-2 or Round-3 directly without fresh registration if they are not allotted a seat in the previous round. Upgraded candidates cannot claim their previous round seat.)
