Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2023

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu for admission to various medical and dental courses. Candidates can apply for various medical courses by visiting the official website of e Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu https://tnhealth.tn.gov.in/ or https://tnmedicalselection.net/   

NEET is a national-level medical entrance examination administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS and BDS programs. Tamil Nadu NEET  counselling will be conducted online for places in government and private colleges under the 85 percent and 100 percent state quotas, respectively.

Candidates who pass the NEET exam are required to engage in the counselling procedure in order to be considered for admission. The MCC (Medical Council Committee) conducts counselling for the 15% of AIQ seats. The state authorities administer the counselling for the remaining 85 percent of the state quota.

Counselling Registration For Government Quota

Step 1: Access Online Application

Step 2: Fill Application Form

  • Fill in all mandatory fields in the online application form.
  • Upload necessary documents in PDF format.
  • Ensure all required fields are complete before submitting.

Step 3: Document Upload

  • Upload the following documents while filling the form:
    • NEET-UG 2023 Admit Card and Score Card.
    • Class X, Class XI, H.S.C. Mark Sheets (both sides).
    • Transfer certificate after completing H.S.C. or equivalent.
    • Study proof from VI to XII for Tamil Nadu candidates.
    • Community Certificate (if applicable).
    • Nativity Certificate.
    • Parents’ documents for native claim.
    • Special Category Form with relevant certificates.
    • Bonafide Certificate for 7.5% Special Reservation.
    • Parent’s Income Certificate for fee exemption.

Step 7: Confirmation

  • Remember, the fee once paid is non-refundable.

Counselling registration For Management Quota

  • Application Form Availability: The application forms For Management Quota will be available online from 28.06.2023 to 10.07.2023 up to 5:00 P.M.
  • Online Application Process:
  • Choice of Category: Candidates should select their category (General, SC, ST, OBC, etc.) while filling the application form.
  • Fee Payment: Pay the application fee of Rs.1000/- (Non-refundable) through online payment via Bank payment portal on the websites.
  • Review and Submission: Double-check the information provided, upload documents, and submit the online application form. Once submitted, no changes can be made.
  • Download Filled Application Form: After submission, candidates should download and keep a copy of their filled application form.

Counselling Process For Management Quota

Step 1: Registration

  1. Register Online: Begin your journey by registering on the official counseling website (Click Here). Fill up the application form for the Management Quota for admission to the MBBS and BDS Colleges. Provide accurate personal and contact details.
  2. Payment of Registration Fee: Pay a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs. 1000 through the online payment portal. This fee confirms your participation in the counseling process.
  3. Security Deposit Payment: For Management Quota, including Minority/NRI Category seats, submit a refundable Security Deposit of Rs. 1,00,000 via the online payment portal. This deposit reserves your seat.
  4. Download Allotment Order: After payment, download your allotment order. This document signifies your commitment to the allocated seat.

Step 2: Rounds of Counselling

Round 1 of Counseling:

  • Choice Filling and Locking: Explore the available options and select your preferred colleges and courses. Lock in your choices within the specified timeframe.
  • Allotment: Seats will be allocated based on NEET UG 2023 scores and the choices made by candidates.
  • Reporting: Report to the allotted college within the provided reporting time to secure your admission.

Round 2 of Counseling:

  • Re-allotment: Candidates who didn’t secure a seat in Round 1 are eligible for Round 2.
  • Virtual Vacancies: Candidates opting for seat up-gradation in Round 2 can free up seats from Round 1 for other candidates.

Mop-Up Counseling:

  • Eligibility: Candidates without any MBBS/BDS seats under All India Quota and State Quota can participate.
  • Re-allotment: Vacant seats from previous rounds and virtual vacancies will be considered.

Stray Round of Counseling:

  • Eligibility: Candidates not holding any MBBS/BDS seats, except those under All India and State Quota, are eligible.
  • Re-allotment: Fill non-allotted seats from Round 2 and vacant seats due to non-joining or discontinuation.

Step 3: Fee Payment: After seat allotment, promptly pay the tuition fees through the designated online payment portal within the specified time frame.

Step 4: Allotment Order: Upon successful fee payment, download your allotment order, confirming your seat allocation.

Step 5: Reporting: Report to the allotted college within the stipulated time frame mentioned in the allotment order.

Step 6: Document Verification: Present your original documents for verification at the allotted college. Ensure all documents are complete and accurate.

Step 7: Admission Formalities: Complete the necessary admission procedures and submit the required documents.

Step 8: Balance Fees: Pay any remaining fees or charges as instructed by the college.

Step 9: Commence Classes: After completing the admission formalities and paying the required fees, you can start attending classes as per the schedule.

  • The candidate who is a Tamil Nadu native and has studied from VI to XII standard in Tamil Nadu schools should also present supporting documentation of the parent’s certificates.
  • Special Category Form with an additional fee of Rs.100/- via Bank payment portal with 
  • relevant certificates for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, Eminent Sports Person and Ex-Servicemen, as applicable, along with the online application form should be uploaded.

MCC NEET UG Counselling Process 2023

Counseling Registration

Step 1: Visit the MCC Official Website:

  • Access the official website of the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) (Click Here) specifically designed for NEET UG Counselling 2023.

Step 2: Find the Registration Link:

  • Look for the “Registration” or “New Registration” link on the website’s homepage. Click on it to initiate the registration process.

Step 3: Read the Instructions:

  • Take the time to carefully read and understand the instructions, guidelines, and eligibility criteria provided on the registration page.

Step 4: Fill in Personal Details:

  • Enter your personal information accurately, including your full name, date of birth, gender, contact number, email address, and any other required details.

Step 5: NEET UG Details:

  • Provide your NEET UG examination details, such as your roll number, application number, and the year in which you appeared for the examination.

Step 6: Generate Login Credentials:

  • Create your login credentials, including a unique username and a strong password.
  • Remember these details, as you will need them for future access to the counseling portal.

Step 7: Payment of Registration Fee:

Counselling Process

MCC will be the conducting the counselling process for admission to Medical, Dental Colleges and Nursing Colleges for the AIQ, Central Institues, University, AIMS, JIPMER , Deemed universities, AMU, BHU and etc. The Counselling will be held in Four Rounds Namely Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and additional Round known as Stray vacancy round which will be the last round for the counselling and admission. Here’re are some details about each round given below:

ROUND-1:

  • Register for Main Counseling: Visit www.mcc.nic.in and register for Round-1 by paying a Non-Refundable Registration fee and Refundable Security Deposit.
  • Choice Filling and Locking: Choose your preferred institutes and courses during the specified days and lock your choices.
  • Seat Allotment Round-1: Based on your choices and merit, seats will be allotted in Round-1.
  • Result Publication: The Round-1 result will be published on the MCC website.
  • Upload Essential Certificates: After the result is declared, upload the necessary certificates as per the guidelines.
  • Physical Reporting: If allotted a seat, physically report to the allocated Medical/Dental College with original documents. Those who want to upgrade to Round-2 must report with their original documents.

ROUND-2:

  • Candidates Not Allotted in Round-1: If you weren’t allotted a seat in Round-1, no need to register again. You will automatically be considered for Round-2.
  • Fresh Registration for Round-2: New candidates or those who didn’t register in Round-1 must register for Round-2 by paying the fees.
  • Choice Filling and Locking: Fill new choices and lock them during the specified period.
  • Seat Allotment Round-2: Seats will be allotted based on your choices and merit.
  • Result Publication: The Round-2 result will be published on the MCC website.
  • Upload Essential Certificates: After the Round-2 result is declared, upload the necessary certificates as per the guidelines.
  • Physical Reporting: If allotted a seat in Round-2, physically report to the allocated Medical/Dental College. Upgraded candidates must take relieving from Round-1 seat and join Round-2 seat.

ROUND-3:

  • Candidates Not Allotted in Previous Rounds: If you were not allotted a seat in Round-1 or Round-2, no need to register again. You will be considered for Round-3.
  • Fresh Registration for Round-3: New candidates or those who didn’t register in Round-1 or Round-2 must register for Round-3 by paying the fees.
  • Choice Filling and Locking: Fill new choices and lock them during the specified period.
  • Seat Allotment Round-3: Seats will be allotted based on your choices and merit.
  • Result Publication: The Round-3 result will be published on the MCC website.
  • Upload Essential Certificates: After the Round-3 result is declared, upload the necessary certificates as per the guidelines.
  • Physical Reporting: If allotted a seat in Round-3, physically report to the allocated Medical/Dental College.

FINAL STRAY VACANCY ROUND:

  • Fresh Registrations: Candidates must register for the Final Stray Vacancy Round.
  • Elimination: Candidates with allotted seats in other rounds will be eliminated from the Stray Vacancy Round.
  • Stray Vacancy Round: The AIQ Stray Vacancy Round for vacant seats will be conducted online by MCC of DGHS, MoHFW.
  • Seat Allotment: Seats will be allotted based on merit in the Stray Vacancy Round.
  • Joining Allotted Seat: If allotted a seat in the Stray Round, the candidate must join the allocated seat/college. Failure to join will result in debarment from NEET examination for 01 year and forfeiture of fees.

(Note: Candidates can participate in Round-2 or Round-3 directly without fresh registration if they are not allotted a seat in the previous round. Upgraded candidates cannot claim their previous round seat.)
