Counselling Registration

Step 1: Online Registration:

Counselling Process

Step 1: NEET-PG 2024 Examination

Candidates must appear for the NEET-PG 2024 and NEET-MDS 2024 examinations to become eligible for admission.

Step 2: Registration

Candidates must register themselves on the CENTAC website for counselling. The registration fee can be paid online through the website.

Step 3: Document Verification

Candidates must visit the designated centre for document verification. The original documents and their photocopies must be carried for verification.

Step 4: Choice Filling

Candidates must submit their course preferences online before the last date for updating the course preferences.

Step 5: Allotment Process

Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate’s NEET rank, course preferences, category of seats, and reservation. Rounds 1 and 2 of allotment will be done online, while Mop-up and Stray Vacancy Counselling may be done online or offline.

Step 6: Provisional Allotment

The provisional allotment list will be published on the CENTAC website. Allotted candidates must download the allotment order from the dashboard using their login credentials.

Step 7: Reporting to the College

Allotted candidates must report to the college with the copy of the Application form, Provisional Allotment Order, and all other original certificates within the scheduled date and time. After verification of the originals and payment of fees, colleges will confirm the provisional admission of the candidates and issue the Admission slip to the candidate.

Step 8: Sliding Process

Sliding will be allowed only for CENTAC allotted candidates and not for candidates who are allotted seats elsewhere. Sliding from one college to another college is permitted during counselling only, based on merit and the rule of reservation.

Step 9: Final Admission

After the completion of the sliding process, the candidate will be allotted a seat based on their preference and rank. The allotted college will confirm the admission and issue the final admission slip to the candidate.

MCC 50% AIQ Quota

About MCC

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The MCC is responsible for conducting online counselling for admission of 50% of seats to various postgraduate medical and dental courses in India, including MBBS and BDS, through the NEET UG and NEET PG exams, respectively.

The MCC conducts centralized counselling for the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical and dental colleges across India, as well as for seats in Deemed and Central Universities, ESIC, and AFMC colleges. The counselling process involves registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, and admission to the allotted colleges.

MCC NEET Counselling Registration

MCC holds four rounds of NEET-UG counseling for AIQ, including a mop-up round and a stray vacancy round. Following the completion of Round 2, the MCC will fill the remaining seats in a mop-up round and a stray vacancy round. The following steps must be taken:

  • Visit the official website: Visit the official website of MCC (https://mcc.nic.in/) and click on the “UG Medical Counseling” tab.
  • New registration: Click on “New Registration” and fill in all the required details such as personal details, contact details, NEET exam details, and security pin. After filling in all the details, click on the “Submit” button.
  • Login credentials: After successful registration, a new page will appear with your login credentials. Use these credentials to log in and fill in your choices of colleges and courses.
  • Choice filling: Fill in your preferred colleges and courses in order of priority. You can choose as many choices as you want.
  • Locking of choices: After you have filled in your choices, you need to lock them by clicking on the “Lock Choices” button. Once the choices are locked, you cannot make any changes.
  • Seat allotment: The MCC conducts the seat allotment process based on your rank, category, and the choices filled by you. You will be able to see your seat allotment result on the official website.
  • Reporting to the allotted college: If you are satisfied with the seat allotted to you, you need to report to the allotted college within the specified time with all the required documents and pay the admission fee.

Rounds For Counselling

Round 1:

  • Register: Pay the non-refundable registration fee and refundable security deposit.
  • Choose colleges: Fill in your preferred colleges in order of priority and lock your choices.
  • Seat allotment: MCC processes your choices and allots seats based on merit and rank. Results are published on the MCC website.
  • Reporting: If you get a seat, report to the allotted college and complete admission formalities. You can opt for an upgrade to Round 2 here.

Round 2:

  • New Registrations: Only for those who didn’t register in Round 1 or resigned/didn’t report in Round 1.
  • Fresh choices: Fill in new choices for available seats.
  • Results and reporting: Same as Round 1.

Mop-Up Round:

  • Fresh registrations: Only for those who exited Round 2 with fee forfeiture or those who registered but got no seat in Rounds 1 & 2. Not eligible for those who joined a seat in Round 2.
  • Fresh choices: Fill in new choices for available seats.
  • Results and reporting: Same as Round 1.

Stray Vacancy Round:

  • Filling of choices and allotment happens through state websites. No fresh registration on MCC website.
