West Bengal NEET Counselling is conducted by the Department of Health and Family Welfare of the West Bengal Government. Candidates who have passed the NEET exam are eligible to apply for MBBS and BDS courses. The West Bengal NEET Counselling program is divided into three stages. There are two rounds, both held online. The third round is held only if seats remain unfilled after the second round.

NEET Counselling Process State Quota
Registration
Candidates must register on the WBMCC’s official website https://wbmcc.nic.in/
Step 1: Candidate registration
- The candidate has to click on ‘New User Registration’ for one-time registration
- The candidate must enter personal information such as the roll number, candidate’s name, date of birth as per the NEET-UG proforma/admit card, and security pin as shown on the form before clicking the “Submit” button. The information should be exactly as it appears on the NEET-UG admit card. Any data mismatch will prevent the candidate from registering.
Step 2: Application Submission
- Click on the ‘Application’ link from the left-hand side menu
- Fill Up the necessary details
- Then click ‘Submit’
- The completion status will be displayed on the candidate dashboard.
Step 3: Payment of Counselling Fee
- After submitting the application, the candidate may proceed to pay the counselling fee. Click the ‘Payment’ link in the menu, then the ‘Make Payment’ button.
- The candidate will be directed to a payment gateway page where they can pay the fee online using a credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI method
- Candidates can print the transaction slip by clicking the “Print” button. Candidates must keep the payment transaction ID on file for future reference.

Acknowledgement Slip
- After making the payment, select ‘AcknowledgementSlip’ from the menu to generate and print the Acknowledgement Slip.
- Candidates must bring this ‘Acknowledgement Slip’ along with other relevant documents/certificates to the allotted Verification Centre during physical document verification.
Choice filling
- Candidates who have already registered and paid the Counselling fee to participate in the West Bengal State Quota, Pvt. Management Quota and NRI Quota Counselling can exercise their Choices of Seat and Institution during the Counselling process.
- The candidate may select any number of options from the available list based on his or her eligibility (State Quota, Private Management, NRI, etc.). After selecting the options, the candidate can arrange/change them as needed. Please choose your options and priorities carefully, as once assigned, the candidate must accept and admit to the assigned seat.
Seat allotment Procedure
The West Bengal NEET Counselling takes place in two stages. Each round’s seat allotment and mop-up round will be handled separately. The merit rank and choices entered by candidates will be used to determine seat allocation.
The results of the West Bengal MBBS and BDS seat allotment for Round I counselling will be announced. The seat allotment results are made available online by the West Bengal Government’s Department of Health and Family Welfare.
Reporting to the Allotted institute
Candidates who were selected in the West Bengal NEET counselling should report to the institute for admission confirmation.
Candidates who do not report to the relevant institute on the specified day and time may be disqualified from the final stage of the counselling process.

About MCC
Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The MCC is responsible for conducting online counselling for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dental courses in India, including MBBS and BDS, through the NEET UG and NEET PG exams, respectively.
The MCC conducts centralized counselling for the All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical and dental colleges across India, as well as for seats in Deemed and Central Universities, ESIC, and AFMC colleges. The counselling process involves registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, and admission to the allotted colleges.
MCC NEET Counselling Registration
MCC holds four rounds of NEET-UG counseling for AIQ, including a mop-up round and a stray vacancy round. Following the completion of Round 2, the MCC will fill the remaining seats in a mop-up round and a stray vacancy round. The following steps must be taken:
- Visit the official website: Visit the official website of MCC (https://mcc.nic.in/) and click on the “UG Medical Counseling” tab.
- New registration: Click on “New Registration” and fill in all the required details such as personal details, contact details, NEET exam details, and security pin. After filling in all the details, click on the “Submit” button.
- Login credentials: After successful registration, a new page will appear with your login credentials. Use these credentials to log in and fill in your choices of colleges and courses.
- Choice filling: Fill in your preferred colleges and courses in order of priority. You can choose as many choices as you want.
- Locking of choices: After you have filled in your choices, you need to lock them by clicking on the “Lock Choices” button. Once the choices are locked, you cannot make any changes.
- Seat allotment: The MCC conducts the seat allotment process based on your rank, category, and the choices filled by you. You will be able to see your seat allotment result on the official website.
- Reporting to the allotted college: If you are satisfied with the seat allotted to you, you need to report to the allotted college within the specified time with all the required documents and pay the admission fee.
