NEET Counselling Registration & Procedure (State Quota)

Registration

  • Click on “Apply for MBBS/BDS Counselling” on the University Website’s Home Page, www.amruhp.ac.in, or Admission> Apply for Admission> MBBS/BDS.
  • Fill out the “Candidate’s Name,” “Father’s Name,” “Email Id,” and “Mobile Number” fields carefully.
  • After entering your email address, click the Verify Email button, and then enter your phone number.
  • When the candidate clicks the Verify button, an OTP will be sent to the registered email address; by entering the OTP in the required text box, the email address will be verified. Enter the captcha code to register yourself.
  • Candidates will not be able to edit any entries after submitting the Admission form.
  • The Allotment Letter will be generated following the candidate’s counselling and acceptance of the allotted seat.

Admission & Counselling Process

There is an online counselling system to make provisional allocations of available seats in the order of merit-cum-choices/preferences of the course, college, and quota filled in the online admission application form by candidates within the stipulated period by using the University website www.amruhp.ac.in. 

However, candidates are able to edit their course, college, and quota choices after the merit list is displayed, based on the merit rank assigned in the combined and category-wise merit lists of qualified candidates based on the NEET UG All India Merit. As a result, candidates are advised to exercise caution when filling out the orders of course choices/preferences, college(s), and quota.

The admissions process in Government Medical/Dental Colleges, including private Medical/Dental Colleges (State & Management Quota), shall be completed online within the prescribed time frame by the Common/ Centralized Counselling Committee formed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh and chaired by the Director Medical Education & Research, H.P. Shimla.

Counselling Fee

  • For General/OBC category candidates: Rs. 1500/-
  • For SC/ST category candidates: Rs. 1000/-
  • For Physically Handicapped (PH) category candidates: Rs. 1000/-

It’s important to note that these fees are only for the counselling process, and separate fees may apply for the application and admission process at the respective colleges.

First Round Counselling

  • After provisional seat allocation during the first and subsequent rounds of counselling, candidates can download provisional admission letters from the University website after logging in to their account and report to the Principal of the respective college with all required original documents and a print out of the confirmation copy of the online application form with photocopies of all required documents (duly self-attested) for verification.

Second Round Counselling

  • Following the completion of the first round of counselling, the University will conduct the second round of counselling as scheduled, and the online counselling form are made available on the University website www.amruhp.ac.in. 
  • Candidates must fill out a new course, college(s), and quota choices/preferences within the specified time frame for provisional allocation against vacant seats. 
  • All candidates whose names appear on the AMRU merit list as announced by the University are eligible to fill out the online counselling form for the second round of counselling. 
  • If a candidate is satisfied with the seat assigned to him or her during the first round of online counselling, he or she is not required to participate in the second round of online counselling.
  • If an admitted candidate from Round 1 who participated in Round 2 does not receive an upgrade, he/she will be allowed to keep the seat with the category allotted in Round 1 and thus allocation will be done only if there is a vacancy in Round II. 
  • The vacant seats from the first round will be displayed and filled category-by-category in the second round.

Mop Up Round Counselling

  • Following the completion of the first and second rounds of counselling, the University will issue a schedule for the mop-up round of counselling and make the online counselling form available on the University website www.amruhp.ac.in. 
  • Candidates who are eligible to participate in the mop-up round of online counselling must fill out new choices/preferences of course, college, and quota in the online application form within the specified time frame for provisional allocation against vacant seats, along with the requisite amount as prescribed for the token amount of fee, if applicable.
  • If a candidate is satisfied with the seat assigned to him or her in previous rounds of online counselling, he or she is not required to participate in the next round of online counselling.

About MCC

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The MCC is responsible for conducting online counselling for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dental courses in India, including MBBS and BDS, through the NEET UG and NEET PG exams, respectively.

The MCC conducts centralized counselling for the All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical and dental colleges across India, as well as for seats in Deemed and Central Universities, ESIC, and AFMC colleges. The counselling process involves registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, and admission to the allotted colleges.

MCC NEET Counselling Registration

MCC holds four rounds of NEET-UG counseling for AIQ, including a mop-up round and a stray vacancy round. Following the completion of Round 2, the MCC will fill the remaining seats in a mop-up round and a stray vacancy round. The following steps must be taken:

  • Visit the official website: Visit the official website of MCC (https://mcc.nic.in/) and click on the “UG Medical Counseling” tab.
  • New registration: Click on “New Registration” and fill in all the required details such as personal details, contact details, NEET exam details, and security pin. After filling in all the details, click on the “Submit” button.
  • Login credentials: After successful registration, a new page will appear with your login credentials. Use these credentials to log in and fill in your choices of colleges and courses.
  • Choice filling: Fill in your preferred colleges and courses in order of priority. You can choose as many choices as you want.
  • Locking of choices: After you have filled in your choices, you need to lock them by clicking on the “Lock Choices” button. Once the choices are locked, you cannot make any changes.
  • Seat allotment: The MCC conducts the seat allotment process based on your rank, category, and the choices filled by you. You will be able to see your seat allotment result on the official website.
  • Reporting to the allotted college: If you are satisfied with the seat allotted to you, you need to report to the allotted college within the specified time with all the required documents and pay the admission fee.
