DR VVPF Medical College Ahmednagar or Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation’s Medical College & Hospital has emerged as an excellent center in Medical Education, Training, and Research activities at the national level, as well as Health Care Services to the underprivileged at their doorstep. Due to a severe lack of medical facilities, the Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation established a medical college in Vilad Ghat, Ahmednagar, in 2004. 

Under the capable leadership and mature insight of the institute’s founder, Late. Dr. Balasaheb Vikhe Patil (Padmabhushan Awardee), the institute has achieved remarkable achievements in academic and health services at the grassroots level. 

The College offers an undergraduate course in Medicine (MBBS) to 200 students per year, as well as postgraduate courses in 10 disciplines. The institute was certified by the Medical Council of India, now known as the National Medical Commission, in 2009 and is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. 

The college intend to develop a new generation of doctors who are well-versed in medicine, have the highest levels of skill and competence, are committed to excellence, are guided by professional ethics, moral and social values, and are prepared to serve and lead the world for a better tomorrow.

Counselling Process

MCC will be conducting the counseling process for admission to Medical, Dental Colleges, and Nursing Colleges for the AIQ, Central Institues, University, AIMS, JIPMER, Deemed universities, AMU, BHU and etc. The Counselling will be held in Four Rounds Namely Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and an additional Round known as the Stray vacancy round which will be the last round for the counselling and admission. Here’re are some details about each round given below:

ROUND-1:

  • Register for Main Counseling: Visit www.mcc.nic.in and register for Round-1 by paying a Non-Refundable Registration fee and Refundable Security Deposit.
  • Choice Filling and Locking: Choose your preferred institutes and courses during the specified days and lock your choices.
  • Seat Allotment Round-1: Based on your choices and merit, seats will be allotted in Round-1.
  • Result Publication: The Round-1 result will be published on the MCC website.
  • Upload Essential Certificates: After the result is declared, upload the necessary certificates as per the guidelines.
  • Physical Reporting: If allotted a seat, physically report to the allocated Medical/Dental College with original documents. Those who want to upgrade to Round-2 must report with their original documents.

ROUND-2:

  • Stray Vacancy Round: The AIQ Stray Vacancy Round for vacant seats will be conducted online by MCC of DGHS, MoHFW.
  • Seat Allotment: Seats will be allotted based on merit in the Stray Vacancy Round.
  • Joining Allotted Seat: If allotted a seat in the Stray Round, the candidate must join the allocated seat/college. Failure to join will result in debarment from NEET examination for 01 year and forfeiture of fees.

(Note: Candidates can participate in Round-2 or Round-3 directly without fresh registration if they are not allotted a seat in the previous round. Upgraded candidates cannot claim their previous round seat.)
