Central Pool Quota NEET Counseling Selections and Nomination MBBS/BDS Seats
1. Selection of candidates by beneficiary Union territories
Beneficiary States/UTs:
- States and UTs with a lack of medical and dental colleges
Eligibility Criteria:
Children of
- Permanent residents of the State/UT concerned
- The employees of the State/UT Government concerned;
- The employees of the Central/Other State/UT government on deputation to the State/UT concerned
- Employees of the central/other state Govt. posted in and having their headquarters within the statJur concerned will be eligible.
Qualification:
- Candidate must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with an aggregate percentile of 50%
- Candidates from SC/ST Category must have passed with an aggregate percentile of 45%
- Candidates from SC-PWD/ST-PWD Category must have passed with an aggregate percentile of 40%
Selection of Candidates:
The selection of the candidate is made on the basis of NEET conducted by the National Testing Agency.
Moreover, with respect to eligible candidates’ scheduled tribes, the lowest percentile score shall be at the 40th percentile. The minimum marks for candidates with specified disabilities shall be at the 45th percentile.
Reservation:
The reservation policy of the concerned beneficiary State/UT will apply to Central Pool MBBS/BDS seats.
2. Selection of candidates by the UTs of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh:
Eligibility Criteria:
Central Pool MBBS seats have been allocated to the UTs of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh for the selection and nomination of candidates who fall into one of the three categories listed below.
- Children from families where a parent was killed in terrorist acts, or innocent victims of cross-fire or firing by armed forces in combating terrorism
- Children of such individuals who are exposed to tangible risk as a result of their assignment, which is primarily related to combating terrorist acts; additional weightage is to be given to individuals who have appeared on terrorist organizations’ “hit list.”
- Children from such families who have fled Kashmir as a result of the current situation

Eligibility Criteria:
- Central Pool MBBS seats may be allocated for selection and nominations of the candidates from amongst the wards of “covid warriors who have lost life due to COVID-19; or died accidentally on account of COVID 19 related duty”.
- Covid warriors are public healthcare providers, such as health workers from the community, who may have direct contact with and care for covlD-19 patients and may be impacted by this.
