Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Gaya

Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College & Hospital is a well-known medical institution and hospital in Gaya. It was founded in 1969 as a private MBBS college and is now acting as both a college and a hospital. It was started by the government in 1978 and has since become a public institution.

Magadh Medical was its original name. In 1984, it was renamed Anuragh Narayan Magadh Medical after Anuragh Narayan Jee, the great statesman and first finance minister of Bihar after independence India. He was a wonderful personality who truly served the people in every way. In 1936, he was a member of the Vidhan Sabha and was commonly known as ‘Bihar Vibhuti.’ He was well-known not only in Bihar, but across India.

A.N.M.M.C.H. is located in Gaya, Bihar’s southernmost city. The campus encompasses 43.85 acres. It was founded with forethought, considering there were only two Medical Colleges and Hospitals in Bihar at the time.

One is in Patna, in the northern portion of Bihar, and the other is in Ranchi, in the southern part of Bihar. There was no public hospital in the middle range from Patna to Ranchi. As a result, the general people faced significant difficulties, particularly when urgent treatment was required. The development of this hospital was a ray of hope for the entire region of Middle Bihar.
