NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital in Nagpur, named after an eminent economist and former central government minister, Honorable Late Shri NKP Salve, was founded in 1990 at Sitabuldi with a commitment to health for all. The Institute was founded in Sitabuldi and later relocated to Digdoh Hills on Hingna Road.
It has grown over the years to become one of the country’s premier medical institutes, providing high-quality medical education and health care. Because of the dedicated team’s personal interest and strenuous efforts, NKP SIMS & RC and LMH has attained a prestigious status. – Shri. Ranjeet Deshmukh, Honorable Chairman, Shri. Bhau Saheb Bhoge, Working Chairman Dr. Ashish Deshmukh, Project Director Late Shri. Dilip Bhagde, and Dean Dr. Kajal Mitra. This medical institution has seen sustained growth with other professional team members in place to ensure smooth operation.
The institution was founded with the intention of meeting the region’s additional need for medical education as well as being able to provide medical care to people in and around central India.
The institution is situated in a natural setting amidst open spaces on 68 acres of land outside of the city. It used to be a single-story building, but now it includes groups of buildings where the various departments are housed. The NMC (National Medical Commission) has approved it, and it offers 200 undergraduate seats. Previously connected to Nagpur University, it is affiliated with Nashik’s Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. After beginning with undergraduate programmes, it eventually gained recognition for postgraduate programmes in almost all subjects as well as MCh, PhD, and fellowships in a few. To produce qualified personnel in required specialities and other paramedical fields, more courses are being offered.
Preclinical and clinical departments alike are fully equipped in accordance with NMC standards. There are Smart Boards and Touch Boards available in each of the lecture halls, which are all nicely furnished. The college’s “Matoshree” auditorium can accommodate 1000 people.
The institution is proud of its qualified, experienced, and dedicated faculty. Students are admitted via the Government’s National Entrance Test (NEET). Every year, sincere, goal-oriented, and eager young people join to excel in academics with distinctions, awards, and medals. Step 1: NEET 2023 Result Declaration
