Jharkhand NEET Counselling 2024 will be conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) for admission into MBBS and BDS courses in the state of Jharkhand. The counselling process is conducted online and candidates who have qualified for the NEET Exam Score are eligible to participate in the counselling process. A candidate must complete an online application form to join by visiting the conducting authority’s official website https://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in/. JCECEB will release the counselling date on its official website soon, and registration is likely to start in the last week of July 2024. JCECEB will conduct counselling for 85% of seats of government colleges and 100% of seats of private colleges under state quota (For Domicile candidates). Counselling for the remaining 15% of government college seats will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
Candidates who appeared in the NEET Exam held on 5th May 2024 will be eligible for counselling and the NEET Exam results will be released on 14th June 2024 by NTA. Counselling Registration
Step 1: Online Registration
- Visit the official website for Jharkhand NEET UG Counselling (https://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in/).
- Click on the registration link.
- Fill in your details, including:

- Disability status
- Educational Qualification

- Review the information for accuracy.
- Submit the form.
Step 2: Upload Documents
- You'll be prompted to upload the following documents:
- Recent colour photograph with a white background (20kb-50kb)
- Signature on white paper with blue/black ink (10kb-20kb)
- Other relevant documents (e.g., category certificates, qualification certificates) as a single PDF file (size not exceeding 500 KB).
Step 3: Preview Uploaded Images
- After uploading, preview the uploaded images.
- Ensure that your photograph and signature are visible in the appropriate spaces.
- If the images are not satisfactory, you can re-upload them following the same procedure.
- Confirm that the spaces for the photograph and signature are not swapped.
Step 4: Declaration and Final Submission
- Review all filled information.
- If all details are correct, select the 'declaration' checkbox.
- Click on the final SUBMIT button.
- After submission, an application/registration number will be generated.
- You will receive an email and SMS with the application number and password. Keep these for future reference.
Step 5: Application Fee Payment
- Click on the provided link for fee payment.
- Follow the instructions to complete the payment.
- Payment can be made through Internet banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
- After payment, save the payment slip for reference.
- Bank charges/payment gateway charges are the applicant's responsibility.
- Ensure payment is made within the due date.

- If not, you can participate in subsequent rounds of counselling.
Step 5: Reporting to Allotted College
- If you accept the allotted seat, you must report to the respective college within the specified timeframe.
- Pay the required admission fees and complete the admission formalities.
Step 6: Upgradation (Optional)
- If you want to upgrade your allotted seat, you can participate in the upgrade round.
- Follow the same choice filling and seat allotment process.

MCC Counselling Process
MCC will be conducting the counselling process for admission to Medical, Dental Colleges and Nursing Colleges for the AIQ, Central Institutes, Universities, AIMS, JIPMER, Deemed universities, AMU, BHU, etc. The Counselling will be held in Four Rounds Namely Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and an additional Round known as the Stray vacancy Round which will be the last round for counselling and admission. Here are some details about each round given below:
ROUND-1:
- Register for Main Counseling: Visit www.mcc.nic.in and register for Round 1 by paying a Non-Refundable Registration fee and Refundable Security Deposit.
- Choice Filling and Locking: Choose your preferred institutes and courses during the specified days and lock your choices.
- Seat Allotment Round-1: Based on your choices and merit, seats will be allotted in Round-1.
- Result Publication: The Round-1 result will be published on the MCC website.
- Upload Essential Certificates: After the result is declared, upload the necessary certificates as per the guidelines.
- Physical Reporting: If allotted a seat, physically report to the allocated Medical/Dental College with original documents. Those who want to upgrade to Round 2 must report with their original documents.
ROUND-2:
- Candidates Not Allotted in Round 1: If you weren’t allotted a seat in Round 1, no need to register again. You will automatically be considered for Round 2.
- Fresh Registration for Round 2: New candidates or those who didn’t register in Round 1 must register for Round 2 by paying the fees.
- Choice Filling and Locking: Fill in new choices and lock them during the specified period.
- Seat Allotment Round-2: Seats will be allotted based on your choices and merit.
- Result Publication: The Round 2 result will be published on the MCC website.
- Upload Essential Certificates: After the Round 2 result is declared, upload the necessary certificates as per the guidelines.
- Physical Reporting: If allotted a seat in Round 2, physically report to the allocated Medical/Dental College. Upgraded candidates must take relief from the Round-1 seat and join the Round-2 seat.
ROUND-3:
- Candidates Not Allotted in Previous Rounds: If you were not allotted a seat in Round 1 or Round 2, no need to register again. You will be considered for Round 3.
- Fresh Registration for Round 3: New candidates or those who didn’t register in Round 1 or Round 2 must register for Round 3 by paying the fees.
- Choice Filling and Locking: Fill in new choices and lock them during the specified period.
- Seat Allotment Round-3: Seats will be allotted based on your choices and merit.
- Result Publication: The Round-3 result will be published on the MCC website.
- Upload Essential Certificates: After the Round-3 result is declared, upload the necessary certificates as per the guidelines.
- Physical Reporting: If allotted a seat in Round 3, physically report to the allocated Medical/Dental College.
FINAL STRAY VACANCY ROUND:
- Fresh Registrations: Candidates must register for the Final Stray Vacancy Round.
- Elimination: Candidates with allotted seats in other rounds will be eliminated from the Stray Vacancy Round.
- Stray Vacancy Round: The AIQ Stray Vacancy Round for vacant seats will be conducted online by the MCC of DGHS, MoHFW.
- Seat Allotment: Seats will be allotted based on merit in the Stray Vacancy Round.
- Joining Allotted Seat: If allotted a seat in the Stray Round, the candidate must join the allocated seat/college. Failure to join will result in debarment from the NEET examination for 01 years and forfeiture of fees.
(Note: Candidates can participate in Round 2 or Round 3 directly without fresh registration if they are not allotted a seat in the previous round. Upgraded candidates cannot claim their previous round seat.)
