Government Dental College in Jharkhand

Government Dental College in Jharkhand provides comprehensive dental education, catering to the healthcare needs of the region. Jharkhand has only one government BDS college, the Dental Institute at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi. Established in 2017, it provides a complete Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, making it an invaluable resource for the state’s prospective dentists.

The Dental Institute at RIMS has a well-equipped infrastructure, including modern labs, a separate dental hospital, and competent faculty. The curriculum meets national standards, ensuring that students have a solid foundation in theoretical and practical dentistry knowledge. Additionally, the institute offers clinical experience through rotations in its hospital and community outreach programs.

Admission to the BDS program at RIMS is based on the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), followed by state-level counseling. The tuition fees are much lower than those at private dental institutions, making it a tempting choice for students looking for a high-quality dental education at a reasonable price. However, due to the limited number of seats available and the intense competition, securing admission requires dedication and strong performance in NEET.
