Andaman & Nicobar NEET counselling is conducted by the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS), Port Blair, to admissions to various medical and dental courses. The Andaman & Nicobar counseling process is conducted in offline mode.

Candidates must attend the seat allotment procedure in order to participate in counselling. Students are given college options during the Andaman & Nicobar NEET counselling. Through Andaman & Nicobar NEET Counselling, the regulatory body allots 97 seats under the 85% state quota, while 17 seats are granted under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ).

NEET Counselling Process (State Quota)

Registration

Step 1: The candidate must go to the official website https://collegeadmission.andaman.gov.in/

Step 2: Select the “New Registration” option.

Step 3 (Personal Information): Candidates must enter their personal information after successfully registering and activating their account. Fill out the application form completely and accurately.

Step 4 (Upload Photo and Signature): After entering personal information, the candidate should scan and upload a passport-size photograph of high contrast and full signature in Hindi and English (not in capital letters). After uploading the photo and signature, click the “Save & Continue” button.

Step 5 (Educational Information): After submitting the digitized photo and signature, the applicant should input their educational information on the computer screen and click the “Save & Continue” button.

Step 6 (Payment of Counselling Fee): After completing all of the required information, candidates must pay the Counselling Fee. The counseling fees will not be refunded.

Choice Filling

After logging in to the portal, candidates should use their previous credentials to continue the choice-filling procedure. Candidates must select their preferred courses and colleges before finalizing the online portal’s preferences.

Choice Locking

It is mandatory to lock the choices for the final submission of preferences in Andaman NEET UG  counseling. The choices can be modified until they are locked. If in case, candidates do not lock the choices then the filled choices will be considered final and will automatically get locked on the notified date.

Take a Printout

It is advisable to take a printout of the filled choices as it could be beneficial for candidates in the further NEET UG counseling process. If the candidates have not locked their choices then also they can take a printout of the chosen preferences after the choice-locking process is over.

Seat Allotment

The results of the Andaman & Nicobar MBBS and BDS seat allotment for Round I counselling is posted online at the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Science (ANIIMS), Port Blair website.

Applicants who were assigned seats in Round I will be able to upgrade in the Second Round. If the candidate is assigned an upgraded seat in the Second Round, the seat assigned in the First Round will be canceled.

Reporting to the Allotted College

Candidates should report to the allotted college to complete the admission formalities. At the time of reporting to the allotted college, candidates must submit the original copy of the mandatory documents.

About MCC

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The MCC is responsible for conducting online counselling for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dental courses in India, including MBBS and BDS, through the NEET UG and NEET PG exams, respectively.

The MCC conducts centralized counselling for the All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical and dental colleges across India, as well as for seats in Deemed and Central Universities, ESIC, and AFMC colleges. The counselling process involves registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, and admission to the allotted colleges.

MCC NEET Counselling Registration

MCC holds four rounds of NEET-UG counseling for AIQ, including a mop-up round and a stray vacancy round. Following the completion of Round 2, the MCC will fill the remaining seats in a mop-up round and a stray vacancy round. The following steps must be taken:

  • Visit the official website: Visit the official website of MCC (https://mcc.nic.in/) and click on the “UG Medical Counseling” tab.
  • New registration: Click on “New Registration” and fill in all the required details such as personal details, contact details, NEET exam details, and security pin. After filling in all the details, click on the “Submit” button.
  • Login credentials: After successful registration, a new page will appear with your login credentials. Use these credentials to log in and fill in your choices of colleges and courses.
  • Choice filling: Fill in your preferred colleges and courses in order of priority. You can choose as many choices as you want.
  • Locking of choices: After you have filled in your choices, you need to lock them by clicking on the “Lock Choices” button. Once the choices are locked, you cannot make any changes.
  • Seat allotment: The MCC conducts the seat allotment process based on your rank, category, and the choices filled by you. You will be able to see your seat allotment result on the official website.
  • Reporting to the allotted college: If you are satisfied with the seat allotted to you, you need to report to the allotted college within the specified time with all the required documents and pay the admission fee.

Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for Andaman & Nicobar NEET admission, aspirants should be aware of the eligibility requirements. Below are some of the basic ANIIMS NEET eligibility criteria, which every candidate must fulfill.

  • A candidate must be an Indian national.
  • Candidates must be 17 years old as of December 31st of the academic year.
  • He or she must have passed/appeared in the Class 12 examination under the 10+2 scheme/senior school certificate examination (CBSE) or an equivalent exam of a recognized university/board of any Indian State with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subjects.
  • Applicants must be physically fit (except for those applying under the physically handicapped category) and must submit a medical fitness certificate at the time of admission.
  • During the admission process, he or she will be subjected to a medical examination at ANIIMS’s GB Pant Hospital.

Participating College

There is only one government medical college (Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences, Port Blair) and no private medical schools. Pondicherry University has granted it affiliation. Candidates from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands are eligible to apply. There are 114 MBBS seats available in this program.
