Government Dental College in Andaman and Nicobar

For regular updates on NEET Counselling 2024, follow us on social media:

Government Dental College in Andaman and Nicobar remains prominently absent, leaving aspiring dental students with few options for furthering their study in the area. Despite the presence of healthcare infrastructure and an increasing demand for dental practitioners, this island nation lacks any government institutions that provide BDS education. This absence not only limits educational options for students, but it also makes it difficult to efficiently meet the oral healthcare needs of the island population.

The lack of a government BDS college in Andaman and Nicobar highlights the need for concerted efforts to expand the region’s dental education infrastructure. With no private BDS institutes accessible, eager dentistry students frequently have to look to mainland India for educational possibilities. However, this brings obstacles such as cultural adjustment, separation from family, and maybe increased living expenses.
