Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE), which conducts examination and e-counseling, will release the prospectus and schedule for MBBS state quota admission after the NEET 2022 result is announced. Its website is located at https://ojee.nic.in/publicinfo/public/home.aspx.

On the website, an online application form must be completed. OJEE emphasizes this by conducting first stage counseling, second stage counseling, and spot round counseling. For all categories, the fee for completing its application form is Rs 1000/-. Documents must be uploaded when completing the application form and will be verified online by OJEE.

OJEE will publish a merit list of registered candidates on the portal for counseling. After that, they must complete the choice filling and locking at the specified time; otherwise, it will be auto locked.

First Stage Counseling :-

This counseling is available online. In the first round, there is no security deposit. Following the completion of the selection, seats are allocated based on the provisional merit list and the candidate’s selection. If student are assigned a seat, an online allotment letter will be sent to them. They must first log in and download it. And by logging they can choose between freezing and floating. If they are satisfied with this allotment and do not want to upgrade this seat further, they must select “freeze,” after which they will not be considered for upgrade in subsequent rounds. If they want to upgrade this seat, they must select the “float” option and participate in the second round. However, keep in mind that if they are assigned the seat of their first choice, they will not be able to select the option of float for upgrade. If their seat is upgraded in the second round, they must enrol in the newly assigned college. The first-round seat will be filled by another candidate. After selecting either freeze or float, the CLC / SLC Certificate (College leaving / School leaving certificate) must be uploaded online. After that, they must pay the Rs.01 lakh admission fee, which can be paid online or by DD. After downloading the allotment letter, all admission formalities must be completed after visiting the allotted college with the allotment letter and original documents in the case of being assigned to a government medical/dental college. Report to the OJEE Cell if they have been assigned to a private medical/dental college. This is the first round of exits. After receiving a seat allotment in the first round, they will be eligible for second round counseling and further all round counseling. If a first-round joined seat wishes to resign, they may do so at the time specified by OJEE; in this case, the balance amount will be refunded after deducting 10% of the tuition fees deposited. If they do not get a seat in the first round, they will have to wait until the second round.

Second stage counseling :-

Following the first round, a second round of counseling is held to fill the vacant seats, and the seats are transferred to the state following the second round of MCC. In this, new registrations are now available. This is also done online. The first-round seat can also be upgraded. Candidates who chose flot in the first round do not need to fill their choice in the second round, but such candidates who did new registration in the second round or did not get a seat in the first round must. In this round, they must fill out the choice again. The admission formalities are similar to the first round after seat allocation. If they do not receive a seat allotment in this round, they will be required to wait for spot round counseling. If they joined the seat in the second round of MCC, they will be unable to participate in the second round.

Spot round counseling :-

This counseling is done after the second round to fill the vacant seats. Candidates must present these offline counseling documents, as well as the original documents, at the time of counseling.
