Counselling Registration
Step 1: Navigate to the GMCH website.
The website address is shown as "www.gmch.gov.in" in the image.
Step 2: Navigate to the "Admission" tab.
Look for the "Admission" tab or section on the GMCH website's homepage.
Step 3: Go to the "Candidate Registration" page.
You should see a link or button for "Candidate Registration" once you're in the "Admission" section. By clicking on this, you will be directed to the online registration form.
Step 4: Register by entering your information.
In the online registration form, you must enter your NEET PG roll number, password, and other personal and academic information. After entering all of the required information, click the "Submit" button.
Step 5: Check your inbox for a confirmation email.
After submitting the registration form, you should receive an email with your Registration ID and password. Keep this email safe because you will need it later to login.
Step 6: Log in to finish your registration.
Return to the GMCH website and click on "Candidate Login" after receiving the confirmation email. To login, enter your Registration ID and password. You will then be able to finish your registration by entering any missing information, uploading your photo and signature, and uploading any necessary certificates.

Counselling Process
Round 1 (First Counselling)
- Merit List: A combined list based solely on NEET PG ranks for both IP Pool (IP & UT) and UT Pool applicants.
- Seat Allocation: After each round, allocated seats will be displayed, showing which pool (IP/UT) each candidate received their preferred branch based on their rank.
- Seat Allocation Sequence: IP Pool: Applicants will be matched with their preferred branches in the IP Pool first. If unavailable, they may be considered for UT Pool branches if eligible. UT Pool: Applicants will be matched with their preferred branches in the UT Pool only.
- Category Order: General category seats will be filled first, followed by Reserved Category (SC/EWS).
- Latecomers: If you arrive after your turn has passed, you will be considered for available seats at that time.
Round 2 (Second Counselling)
- Similar Process: Follow the same steps as Round 1 for merit list, seat allocation, sequence, and category order.
- Seat Surrender: If you received a seat in Round 1, you must surrender it in writing before Round 2. You can do this in person to the Director-Principal/Registrar Academics at least one day before the next round.
- No Show, Second Chance: If you didn't participate in Round 1, you can join Round 2 and be offered available seats based on your pool/category/rank/merit.
- Latecomers: Same as Round 1.
Round 3 (Third Counselling)
Similar Process: Follow the same steps as Round 2 for merit list, seat allocation, sequence, and category order.
Seat Surrender: If you received a seat in Round 1 or 2, you must surrender it in writing before Round 3. Same procedure as Round 2. No Show, Second Chance: Same as Round 2.
Unfilled Seats: Any unfilled seats from IP/UT Pool for Scheduled Castes or EWS will be converted to General Category and filled accordingly.
Remaining IP Pool Seats: Any unfilled seats from the IP Pool will be filled with eligible UT Chandigarh Pool General candidates.
Latecomers: Same as Round 1.
Stray Vacancy Round
- Application: If seats remain unfilled after Round 3, applications will be invited from candidates outside the IP/UT Pool.
- IP/UT Pool Eligibility: Existing IP/UT Pool candidates don't need to apply again.
- Seat Availability: The number and category of available seats will be announced before the counselling.
- No SC/EWS Reservation: Applicants from outside Chandigarh will not have SC/EWS reservations and must meet all General category eligibility criteria.
- Late Applicants: Any eligible State Quota candidate who missed previous rounds can apply for Stray Vacancy but will be considered General and not benefit from IP/UT Pool.
