Government Dental College in Mizoram

Government Dental College in Mizoram remains a crucial absence in the state’s educational landscape. Despite the growing need for dental education, Mizoram lacks a government college that provides Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programs. This absence is especially noteworthy given the importance of dental health in overall healthcare and the necessity for skilled experts to manage dental disorders among the local population. With no government BDS college, aspiring dental students in Mizoram have no options and often need to seek education outside the state, which can be financially and logistically challenging.

Furthermore, the absence of a private BDS college causes this issue, giving students even less options for continuing dental education in Mizoram. This lack of dental education institutions not only affects the employment opportunities of local students, but it also has an influence on the state’s total healthcare infrastructure. Without a sufficient number of locally qualified dental practitioners, Mizoram may not adequately meet its inhabitants’ dental healthcare needs, potentially leading to inequality in access to excellent dental treatment.
