NEET Counselling Process (State Quota)

1. Registration

The application is made available by the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Itanagar (DHTE) after the NEET results are announced. Before completing the application form, candidates should review the eligibility requirements. Candidates should fill out the form as follows:

  • Step 1: Candidates must visit the DHTE’s official website and look for the link to the application form https://apdhte.nic.in/.
  • Step 2: Fill in the form’s details.
  • Step 3: Upload the required documents and passport-size photos. The image uploaded should be the same as the one uploaded on the NEET application form.
  • Step 4: Print a copy of the fully completed application form because it will be required at the time of counselling.
  • Step 5: Counseling Payment: Candidates must pay a non-refundable registration fee as well as a refundable tuition fee. The fees can be paid online using a credit card, debit card net banking.
  • Step 6: Registration Slip: After the successful submission of details, the registration slip will be displayed on the screen, which can be printed as it will be useful in the further admission process. To continue with the process, click on the “Login” button.

2. Choice Filling & Choice Locking

  • All candidates who are found eligible after document verification are able to fill out, change, reorder, and delete their course and institute preferences according to the notified schedule. Candidates should LOCK their selections once they have made them. Candidates, however, will not be able to unlock or change their choices once they have been locked.
  • Candidates can fill as many choices as they desire. 
  • If a candidate fails to formally lock his or her choices by the deadline, his or her most recently saved choices will be automatically locked after that date. Candidates are therefore strongly advised to make their own decisions. Candidates Must Print their locked choices for future reference.

(Note: If the candidates have not locked their choices then also they can take a printout of the chosen preferences after the choice-locking process is over.)

3. Seat Allotment

The first round of seat allocation is made available on www.apdhte.nic.in.

Seats are assigned to candidates in the order in which they fill out their online choices, based on their NEET merit and the availability of seats in their respective categories/institutes/courses. After the first round of counselling results are announced, candidates must do the following after logging into their account:

  • View Seat Allotment 
  • Print the Provisional Allotment Letter 
  • Pay the Security Deposit/Seat Acceptance Fee 
  • Submit Willingness as described below
  • Applicants who were assigned seats in Round I will be able to upgrade in the second round. If the candidate is assigned an upgraded seat in the Second Round, the seat assigned in the First Round will be cancelled.

4. Reporting to the Allotted College

Candidates should report to the allotted college to complete the admission formalities. At the time of reporting to the allotted college, candidates must submit the original copy of the mandatory documents.

About MCC:

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is the authorized body to conduct counselling for the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (NEET) for qualified applicants. The MCC/DGHS will conduct counselling for 15% AIQ, 100% Deemed Universities, Central Universities (including Delhi University, AMU, and BHU including Institutional/Domicile Quota), ESIC, AFMC (only Registration Part), and I.P Universities (VMMC, SJH, and D ABVIMS, RML, and& ESIC Dental), Delhi (15% AIQ + 85% Institutional Quota), 100% AIIMS, 100% JIPMER, and B. 

MCC NEET Counselling Registration:
