NEET MDS 2024 exam has been postponed, and the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released a new schedule for the examination. Candidates who have registered can check the official website for the updated schedule.
In an official notification regarding the postponement of the NEET MDS 2024 examination, the NBEMS has provided detailed information about the rescheduled dates. According to the official notice, the NEET MDS 2023 examination, originally scheduled for February 9, 2024, will now take place on March 18, 2024. The eligibility cutoff date for appearing in the NEET MDS 2024 is March 31, 2024.
The official notification states, “As per DCI letter number DCI/Admission/Admsn/MDS/Gen/999/2024-25/2024/6933 dated 08.01.2024 and MoHFW letter number V.12025/158/2023 -DE(Pt) dated 19.01.2024, the NEET MDS 2024 examination, which was earlier informally scheduled to be held on February 9, 2024, is now rescheduled. The NEET MDS 2024 examination will now take place on March 18, 2024.”
NEET MDS is a qualifying-cum-ranking examination for entry into various MDS courses under the Dentists Act, 1948. It serves as a single-entry examination for admission to different MDS programs. Candidates who have completed their Master’s in Dental Surgery (MDS) can apply for this examination. Additionally, applicants must have completed a one-year mandatory rotating internship in an approved/recognized dental college in India and obtained provisional or permanent registration from the State Dental Council.
