Admission notice for MBBS and BDS courses under ESIC quota NEET 2022

ADMISSION OF ‘WARDS OF INSURED PERSONS’ (IPs) IN UG COURSES (MBBS/BDS) IN ESIC MEDICAL / DENTAL & SOME GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGES under ‘Seats allocated for Ward of IPs’ FOR ACADEMIC SESSION 2022-23.

The approved provisional policy and procedure (Annexure-1) for admission to under graduate (MBBS / BDS) courses in ESIC Medical Education Institutions, wherein ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ after allocation to the “All India Quota” and the “State Government Quota.” 

ESI Scheme ‘Ward of Insured Persons’ who meet the eligibility criteria and have qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2022 [NEET (UG) – 2022] can apply for UG course (MBBS/BDS) admission in ESIC Medical / Dental Colleges and some Government Medical Colleges under ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ for academic session 2022-23 as per admission policy and procedure approved by the Government of India / ESI Corporation.

*Infrastructure for previously proposed ESIC Colleges at serial number (9) to (11) has been transferred to respective state governments for establishment and operation. According to the terms of the MoU for the transfer of these colleges, these colleges contribute seats to the ESIC pool of seats for ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs). The figures are as stated by the colleges.

Reservations in r/o for the above seats would be made in accordance with current Central Government guidelines.

The Student link for applying online for a ‘Ward of IP Certificate’ will be suspended until the Admit Card / Roll Number for NEET-UG 2022 is released. Any changes to the dates would be announced on the ESIC website.

As the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Admit Card / Roll Number for NEET-UG 2022, the above-mentioned link has now been activated for applying for ward of IP certificate for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in ESIC MEDICAL / DENTAL & SOME GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGES UNDER ‘SEATS ALLOCATED FOR WARD OF IP’ FOR ACADEMIC SESSION 2022-23.

 In continuation of the Admission Notice dated 14.06.2022, the deadline for submitting an online application for the issuance of a ‘Ward of IP Certificate’ has been extended to 03.08.2022. The above-mentioned student link will be deactivated at 23.59 hrs on 03.08.2022.

 The deadline for submitting a physical application to the Branch Office concerned for the issuance of a ‘Ward of IP Certificate’ has been extended until August 4, 2022. (by closure of Office hours).

Applicants are advised to visit/ check the ESIC (www.esic.nic.in) and DGHS (www.mcc.nic.in) websites for additional information/instructions on a regular basis.

All admissions under ‘Seats allotted for Ward of IPs’ for 2022-23 would be subject to the final outcome of WA 2274 & 2304 of 2019 filed before the Hon’ble High Court of Madras against a common order in WP 35853/2016 and 17948/2017 filed by M. Rithika.

Details of seats approved under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Upgrading Existing Government Medical Colleges in order to Increase MBBS Seats in the Country –

The Minister also informed Parliament that 3495 seats have been approved under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Upgradation of Existing Government Medical Colleges in order to increase the number of MBBS seats in the country.
