Chandigarh NEET counselling 2024(Registration Started)

Chandigarh NEET Counselling 2024 will be conducted by the Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh (GMCH), and is scheduled to take place soon for aspiring medical students seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, and BHMS programs in Chandigarh. This process determines the allocation of seats in government and private medical and dental colleges within the region based on the candidate’s NEET Exam (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) scores. The process unfolds in stages, beginning with online registration. Eligible candidates should go to the official GMCH website (http://gmch.gov.in/) and register using the instructions. This includes entering relevant information, uploading required documents like the NEET scorecard, and paying the counselling fee.

Following registration, a merit list is generated based on individual NEET scores and reservation policies. Following that, critical steps include choice filling, in which candidates express their preferences for colleges and courses, and seat allocation, in which an algorithm assigns seats based on merit rank, preferences, and availability. If seats are still unfilled, additional rounds and mop-up rounds may be conducted. Finally, successful candidates must report to their respective colleges for document verification and admission formalities.
