Rampurhat Government Medical College and Hospital Rampurhat is a tertiary referral Government Medical college. The college was established in the year 2019. The college awards the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree (MBBS). Nursing and para-medical programmes are also available. The National Medical Commission recognizes the college, which is affiliated with West Bengal University of Health Sciences. The college-affiliated hospital is one of the largest in the Birbhum district. 

The college is selected on the basis of merit through the National Eligibility and Entrance Test. Beginning in 2019, the annual undergraduate student intake will be 100.The medical college has two campuses: one besides SH 14 (District Hospital, Super Speciality Hospital, Academic Block, Girls’ Hostel, Boys’ Hostel, Intern & PGT Hostels) and one at Chowk Mandala (Boys’ Hostel & Staff Quarters).

Rampurhat Government Medical College & Hospital debuted to provide world-class medical and surgical treatments to patients not only from Birbhum district, but also from nearby districts such as Murshidabad, Burdwan, and Hoogly, as well as neighbouring states such as Jharkhand and Bihar. Rampurhat Government Medical College and Hospital is one of West Bengal’s four new state-run medical colleges.

Eligibility Criteria for UG Course

Nationality	Applicants must be Indian citizens.NRI candidates with Indian passports are also eligible to apply. Under the NRI category, overseas citizens of India (OCI) and persons of Indian origin (PIO) are eligible to apply.
Age Limit	The Candidate must be 17 year old.
Qualification	The candidate must have a Class 12 credential or equivalent from a recognized board or institution. In addition, the qualifying test should include Biology, Chemistry, English, and physics as core subjects. A minimum of 50% is required for the general category, 40% for SC/ST, and 45% for physically disabled candidates.
Domicile	Certificate of residence/domicile for candidates who have lived in West Bengal for at least 10 years. West Bengal NEET Counselling Process 2023

Counseling Registration

• Step 1: Visit https://wbmcc.nic.in during the specified time for NEET UG Counseling 2023.
• Step 2: Register using your NEET UG 2023 Roll No, Application No, Name, Mothers Name, and Date of Birth. Check the information for accuracy and make edits if needed before payment.
• Step 3: Complete the application and pay the fee online. Confirm your Caste and EWS status.
• Step 4: If you’re applying for OBC seats, submit a non-creamy layer certificate issued after 01.04.2023.
• Step 5: Be cautious during payment as it’s non-refundable.
• Step 6: Successful payment allows participation in counseling. If you miss Round 1, you may have another chance in later rounds.

Counselling Process

Step 1: Online Registration, Application, and Fee Payment

• Visit https://wbmcc.nic.in during the specified time.
• Register with NEET UG 2023 details, verify accuracy, and edit if needed before payment.
• Complete the application, pay the fee online, and confirm Caste and EWS status.

Step 2: Physical Document Verification

• Attend physically with original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies.

Step 3: Choice Filling and Locking

• Log in using Roll no and Password after verification.
• Choose preferences based on eligibility, and arrange them.
• Save and lock choices with a password; locked choices cannot be changed.

Step 4: Result of Allotment

• Allotment is based on inter se merit, caste, PwD status, and category (open/private management/NRI).
• Allottees must undergo physical document verification at the allotted college and pay fees.
• Failure to provide essential documents during verification or non-reporting results in disqualification.
• Candidates who don’t report to the allotted college on time are termed non-reported candidates.

MCC Counselling Process

MCC will be the conducting the counselling process for admission to Medical, Dental Colleges and Nursing Colleges for the AIQ, Central Institues, University, AIMS, JIPMER , Deemed universities, AMU, BHU and etc. The Counselling will be held in Four Rounds Namely Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and additional Round known as Stray vacancy round which will be the last round for the counselling and admission. Here’re are some details about each round given below:

ROUND-1:

• Register for Main Counseling: Visit www.mcc.nic.in and register for Round-1 by paying a Non-Refundable Registration fee and Refundable Security Deposit.
• Choice Filling and Locking: Choose your preferred institutes and courses during the specified days and lock your choices.
• Seat Allotment Round-1: Based on your choices and merit, seats will be allotted in Round-1.
• Result Publication: The Round-1 result will be published on the MCC website.
• Upload Essential Certificates: After the result is declared, upload the necessary certificates as per the guidelines.
• Physical Reporting: If allotted a seat, physically report to the allocated Medical/Dental College with original documents. Those who want to upgrade to Round-2 must report with their original documents.

ROUND-2:

• Candidates Not Allotted in Round-1: If you weren’t allotted a seat in Round-1, no need to register again. You will automatically be considered for Round-2.
• Fresh Registration for Round-2: New candidates or those who didn’t register in Round-1 must register for Round-2 by paying the fees.
• Choice Filling and Locking: Fill new choices and lock them during the specified period.
• Seat Allotment Round-2: Seats will be allotted based on your choices and merit.
• Result Publication: The Round-2 result will be published on the MCC website.
• Upload Essential Certificates: After the Round-2 result is declared, upload the necessary certificates as per the guidelines.
• Physical Reporting: If allotted a seat in Round-2, physically report to the allocated Medical/Dental College. Upgraded candidates must take relieving from Round-1 seat and join Round-2 seat.

ROUND-3:

• Candidates Not Allotted in Previous Rounds: If you were not allotted a seat in Round-1 or Round-2, no need to register again. You will be considered for Round-3.
• Fresh Registration for Round-3: New candidates or those who didn’t register in Round-1 or Round-2 must register for Round-3 by paying the fees.
• Choice Filling and Locking: Fill new choices and lock them during the specified period.
• Seat Allotment Round-3: Seats will be allotted based on your choices and merit.
• Result Publication: The Round-3 result will be published on the MCC website.
• Upload Essential Certificates: After the Round-3 result is declared, upload the necessary certificates as per the guidelines.
• Physical Reporting: If allotted a seat in Round-3, physically report to the allocated Medical/Dental College.

FINAL STRAY VACANCY ROUND:

• Fresh Registrations: Candidates must register for the Final Stray Vacancy Round.
• Elimination: Candidates with allotted seats in other rounds will be eliminated from the Stray Vacancy Round.
• Stray Vacancy Round: The AIQ Stray Vacancy Round for vacant seats will be conducted online by MCC of DGHS, MoHFW.
• Seat Allotment: Seats will be allotted based on merit in the Stray Vacancy Round.
• Joining Allotted Seat: If allotted a seat in the Stray Round, the candidate must join the allocated seat/college. Failure to join will result in debarment from NEET examination for 01 year and forfeiture of fees.

(Note: Candidates can participate in Round-2 or Round-3 directly without fresh registration if they are not allotted a seat in the previous round. Upgraded candidates cannot claim their previous round seat.)
